This is the e-portal for the WEST MIDLANDS MINORITY ETHNIC BUSINESS FORUM. The forum is an independent, business-led advisory body to regional development agency Advantage West Midlands, the Government Office for the West Midlands and their many partners involved in economic regeneration of the region.
The forum also provides a channel of communication between the increasing number of minority ethnic communities in the West Midlands, decision and policy makers at local, regional and national level and between similar individuals and organisations overseas.
The population of the West Midlands has the highest percentage of people of minority ethnic origins of any region of the UK outside of London and 25 per cent of businesses in Birmingham are owned or managed by people from those communities. The portal is intended to be both informative and interactive and users are encouraged to use the notice board facility as a means of stimulating discussion and activity. |
