How to be more organised
If you muddle through life and always seem to be forgetting something, or doing something daft, you are disorganised. How ever much you many deny it, if this is how you live your life then you need to sort yourself out. You can’t blame absent mindedness for putting the milk in the bathroom and the mouthwash in the fridge, you are thinking of all the things you have to do and aren’t concentrating on the present.
Being disorganised comes from having a disorganised brain. No excuses please about there not being enough time in the day, organised people get everything done with time to spare. Have an honest look around you, is everything as it should be, or is there a pile of washing on the floor because the machines still full? Are there clothes on the backs of chairs waiting to go upstairs, and has a frustrated member of your family spelt out toothpaste with the fridge magnets in a desperate attempt to get you to buy some?
It’s easy enough to get organised, and even easier to keep on top of it. To start with, if you work fulltime and there are others living in your house, delegate. You aren’t superman/woman and although they may kick off at first, they’ll soon get used to it. Giving everyone one job will soon make a difference. If you are at home all day, shame on you! Stop playing those online games and turn off the trashy daytime TV. You can do that when you can REALLY spare the time. Get a magnetic notepad for the fridge and tell everyone to write things on it when stocks are running low. Check it every day for essential items and get them before it reaches crisis point. There will be a lot of trips to the dentist if your kids are cleaning their teeth with a toothbrush which has 5 bristles left!
As each load of laundry is done, get it put straight away. Do the dishes before they obscure the kitchen window and use your time efficiently. This may all seem very daunting, but you will soon get into it and your life will be so much easier.
